Scriptures proclaim that Jesus Christ died on the cross!

Here is the collection of verses to make you believe that Jesus Christ died on cross and it was prophesized in the scriptures.

Matthew 28:5-7 :And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

Acts 4:10-11: Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Matthew 27:32-40: Now as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. Him they compelled to bear His cross. And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is to say, Place of a Skull, they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink. Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots, that it might be fulfilled which were spoken by the prophet: “They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.” Sitting down, they kept watch over Him there. And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.Then two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and another on the left. And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads and saying, “You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”

Matthew 27:41-44: Likewise the chief priests also, mocking with the scribes and elders, said, “He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him. He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’” Even the robbers who were crucified with Him reviled Him with the same thing.

Luke 23:33: "When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals -- one on his right, the other on his left."

John 19:23-24: "When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took his clothes, dividing them into four shares, one for each of them, with the undergarment remaining. This garment was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom. 'Let's not tear it,' they said to one another. 'Let's decide by lot who will get it.' This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled which said, 'They divided my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.' So this is what the soldiers did."

Psalms 41:9 : Even my close friend, whom I trusted, he who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

Acts 1:16:Men and brethren, this Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus; for he was numbered with us and obtained a part in this ministry.”

Zechariah 11:12-13:Then I said to them, “If it is agreeable to you, give me my wages; and if not, refrain.” So they weighed out for my wages thirty pieces of silver. And the LORD said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—that princely price they set on me. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the LORD for the potter.

Isaiah 50:6:I gave My back to those who struck Me, And My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.

Psalm 22:7-8:All those who see Me ridicule Me;They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,“He trusted in the LORD, let Him rescue Him;Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!”

Isaiah 50:6-8: I gave My back to those who struck Me, And My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.

Zechariah 12:10:And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

Psalm 22:16:For dogs have surrounded Me; The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced[a] My hands and My feet;

Luke 24:39:Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”

Psalms 22:15 :My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death.

John 19:28: Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I am thirsty."

Psalms 69:21: They put gall in my food and gave me vinegar for my thirst.

Matthew 27:34 There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it.

John 19:29 A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus' lips.

Psalms 34:20 he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.

Isaiah 53:9-12:His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth. But the LORD was pleased To crush Him, [a]putting Him to grief; If [b]He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His [c]offspring, He will prolong His days, And the [d]good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand. As a result of the [e]anguish of His soul, He will see [f]it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out [g]Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many,And interceded for the transgressors.

Psalms 22:1 :For the director of music. To the tune of "The Doe of the Morning." A psalm of David. My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from the words of my groaning?

Matthew 27:46 :About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"--which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

Isaiah 53:5-7 :But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

Isaiah 53:12 :Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Mark 10:45 :For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Isaiah 53:9:He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.

Matthew 27:57-60 :As evening approached, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who had himself become a disciple of Jesus. 58 Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus' body, and Pilate ordered that it be given to him. 59 Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 60 and placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away.

Galatians 6:12:As many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh, these would compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.

Galatians 6:14:But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

John 19:6: Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!” Pilate said to them, “You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.”

Hebrews 6:6: if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

1 Corinthians 1:18:For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

What are your excuses to justify sin and to remain in ungodliness? What does Gods word say when you justify?

People who want to live in sinful ungodly life will have lots of excuses, some even may claim as their personality , and some may say God made me that way, some may even say split personality, or bipolar etc , some even may use the Bible to justify their unholy lifestyles.

Men throughout the Bible were commanded to be morally perfect (Genesis 17:1-2; Deuteronomy 7:6; 18:13; I Chronicles 28:9; I Kings 8:61; Matthew 5:48; Exodus 22:31; 14:2,21; 26:19; 28:9; II Corinthians 13:9-11; I Peter 1:15-16); and many men such as Job, Noah, David, Asa, the parents of John the Baptist, and many others were mentioned to be morally perfect (Job 1; Genesis 6:9; Psalms 18:30-36; 101:2-3: I Kings 15:14; 20:3; Luke 1:6). That is not to say that they never sinned, but that they repented and became sinless.

1. If the Apostle Paul wasn't perfect in this life, then how can we expect to be perfect?"

Colossians 1:10-13, I Peter 2:24, I John 5:17, Romans 8:3-4

2.I am not righteous because of anything I have done. Jesus' righteousness has been imputed unto me. The Father sees me as righteous, although I sin every day!

4.If the Apostle Paul was the 'chief of sinners' at the same time he was an Apostle of Christ, then how can any of us ever expect to live sinless in this life?"

Matthew 23:23; Luke 11:42, James 2:10-16; Romans 3:31; 8:3-4, Matthew 22:34-40; Galatians 5:14, Luke 10:25-28; John 14:15,21-24; 15:9-12; Romans 13:8-10; I John 2:3-5,10,15-17; 3:4-17,23-24; 4:7-17,20-21; 5:2-4,18; II John 5-9; Revelation 12:17; 14:12; and 22:14,I John 1:8, Galatians 3:24, Proverbs 1:7; Isaiah 66:1-2

I love him because He loves me with an everlasting love.

He is my provider, and He meets all my needs.

When I am broken heart, He is very close to me for he is my greatest encourager.

His burden is light, and His goal for me is abundant life.

I follow Him because He is the wisdom of the wise, the power of the powerful,

When I am sad he wipes away every tear from my eyes for he takes away all the pain I have suffered on this earth.

Christmas Newsletter from Jesus

Submitted by Dee Payne

It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking My name out of the season. Maybe you've forgotten that I wasn't actually born during this time of the year and that it was some of your predecessors who decided to celebrate My birthday on what was actually a time of pagan festival. Although I do appreciate being remembered anytime.

How I personally feel about this celebration can probably be most easily understood by those of you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don't care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate My birth, just GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

Now, having said that let Me go on. If it bothers you that the town in which you live doesn't allow a scene depicting My birth, then just get rid of a couple of Santas and snowmen and put in a small Nativity scene on your own front lawn If all My followers did that there wouldn't be any need for such a scene on the town square because there would be many of them all around town.

Stop worrying about the fact that people are calling the tree a holiday tree, instead of a Christmas tree. It was I who made all trees. You can remember Me anytime you see any tree. Decorate a grape vine if you wish: I actually spoke of that one in a teaching, explaining who I am in relation to you and what each of our tasks were. If you have forgotten that one, look up John 15: 1 - 8.

If you want to give Me a present in remembrance of My birth here is my wish list. Choose something from it:

Instead of writing protest letters objecting to the way My birthday is being celebrated, write letters of love and hope to soldiers away from home. They are terribly afraid and lonely this time of year. I know! They tell Me all the time.

Visit someone in a nursing home. You don't have to know them personally. They just need to know that someone cares about them.

Instead of writing the President complaining about the wording on the cards his staff sent out this year, why don't you write and tell him that you'll be praying for him and his family this year. Then follow up. It will be nice hearing from you again.

Instead of giving your children a lot of gifts you can't afford and they don't need, spend time with them. Tell them the story of My birth, and why I came to live with you down here. Hold them in your arms and remind them that I love them.

Pick someone that has hurt you in the past and forgive him or her.

Did you know that someone in your town will attempt to take their own life this season because they feel so alone and hopeless? Since you don't know who that person is, try giving everyone you meet a warm smile; it could make the difference.

Instead of nit picking about what the retailer in your town calls the holiday, be patient with the people who work there. Give them a warm smile and a kind word. Even if they aren't allowed to wish you a "Merry Christmas" that doesn't keep you from wishing them one. Then stop shopping there on Sunday. If the store didn't make so much money on that day they'd close and let their employees spend the day at home with their families

If you really want to make a difference, support a missionary-- especially one who takes My love and Good News to those who have never heard My name.

Here's a good one. There are individuals and whole families in your town who not only will have no "Christmas" tree, but neither will they have any presents to give or receive. If you don't know them, buy some food and a few gifts and give them to the Salvation Army or some other charity which believes in Me and they will make the delivery for you.

Finally, if you want to make a statement about your belief in and loyalty to Me, then behave like a Christian. Don't do things in secret that you wouldn't do in My presence. Let people know by your actions that you are one of mine.

Don't forget; I am God and can take care of Myself. Just love Me and do what I have told you to do. I'll take care of all the rest.

Check out the list above and get to work; time is short. I'll help you, but the ball is now in your court. And do have a most blessed Christmas with all those whom you love and remember:

I LOVE YOU!

Jesus

Did Jesus drink grape juice or wine?

Communion is the celebration of the Eucharist when we consume the body and blood of Christ. It looks like bread and wine, however during mass it is transformed into the body and blood of Christ.Because the Communion is not a symbol, but really the body and blood of Christ, it has power. There are many verses in the bible where Jesus said "He is the bread, the living bread and that it is His flesh and it is His blood".

We see in scriptures the Divine 'Vine' changed water into wine at Cana(John 2:1-10). Later the Divine 'Vine' changed wine into His Precious Blood at the last supper(Matt 26:27-28).
Jesus says In John 6:56: "HE WHO EATS MY FLESH AND DRINKS MY BLOOD, ABIDES IN ME AND I IN HIM."

It is the "true presence" of our Lord in the Holy Eucharist, the food provided by the vine, so that eternal life is imparted into each and every branch and which allows the branches to bear fruit. If anyone does not abide in Me, he shall be cast outside as the branch and wither; and they shall gather them up and cast them into the fire, and they shall burn ." John 15:6.

Also notice Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood, has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:53-54.
There are many Bible verses clearly mentions that over drinking is the sin.

(Rom. 14:14) St. Paul states - I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
From the book of Sirach (this is one of 7 books removed from the original Old Testament by Martin Luther) we see that wine is permitted if used in moderation.
(Sirach 31:25-31) - Do not aim to be valiant over wine, for wine has destroyed many, Fire and water prove the temper of steel, so wine tests hearts in the strife of the proud. Wine is like life to men, if you drink it in moderation. What is life to a man who is without wine? It has been created to make men glad. Wine drunk in season and temperately is rejoicing of heart and gladness of soul. Wine drunk to excess is bitterness of soul, with provocation and stumbling. Drunkenness increases the anger of a fool to his injury, reducing his strength and adding wounds.
(Psalms 104:15) - and wine that maketh glad the heart of man.
(1 Tim 6:23) - Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.
(Eph 5:18)
Paul says: do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery. (Paul does not say not to drink wine but not to get drunk with wine.)

(1 Tim 3:8, 3:3; Titus 1:7) - Likewise must the deacons be grave, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre.
Now let us look at verses that concerning Jesus:
In Mt. 11:18-19 & Lk. 7:34 - For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil. The son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners? (This statement would not make sense if Jesus were merely drinking un-aged wine or grape juice).

(Jn. 2:1-11) - The wedding feast of Canna - to summarize this passage, let us look at verse 10, where Jesus changes water into wine, because the wine has run out. (vs. 10) And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou has kept the good wine until now. What is Jn. 2:10 saying? That the normal procedure for a wedding is to have the "good" wine first, so that by the time this "good" wine is gone they can bring out the "not so good" wine because they will be less likely to notice the difference.Jesus drank wine.Grapes are harvested in the fall, and Passover (the time of the Last Supper) is in the spring. Without refrigeration, grapes (and grape juice) do not keep very well. Within a few days after the harvest, grapes begin to ferment and/or rot. The only methods of preservation available to the 1st century citizen were to extract the juice and let it ferment under somewhat controlled conditions (this is called wine making) or to dry the grapes which resulted in raisins. At the Last Supper Jesus said "I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine" (Matthew 26:29, KJV). In those days they made wine from a number of different fruits but the wine of the grape, the "fruit of the vine," was alone used at Passover. Since this was spring, and the Passover liturgy called for all participants to drink four cups of wine, grape juice preserved by fermentation (wine) was most certainly used or at least one of the Gospel writers would have remarked about the departure from the natural; as they did so often about all His other miracles. The prescriptions for celebrating the Passover called for the cups of wine to be diluted with water. This was necessary because the fermentation process made it rather strong and also because the vessels they kept the wine in were somewhat porous and the wine tended to become thick with age as moisture escaped. This is the historical background behind why the priest adds a drop of water to the chalice during the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Wine not well protected from the air while it was stored became sour wine (vinegar).

Jesus In Us- A Poem

I Saw Jesus Last Week.

He was wearing blue jeans and an old shirt.

He was up at the church building

He was alone and working hard.

For just a minute he looked a little like one of our church members.

But it was Jesus, I could tell by his smile.

I saw Jesus last Sabbath.

He was teaching a Bible class.

He didn't talk real loud or use long words, But you could tell he

believed what he said.

For just a minute, he looked like my Sabbath School teacher..

But it was Jesus, I could tell by his loving voice.

I saw Jesus yesterday.

He was at the hospital visiting a friend who was sick.

They prayed together quietly.

For just a minute he looked like our preacher.

But it was Jesus, I could tell by the tears in his eyes.

I saw Jesus this morning.

He was in my kitchen making my breakfast He then fixed me a special

lunch to take with me.

For just a minute he looked like my Mom.

But it was Jesus, I could feel the love from his heart.

I saw Jesus today.

He was praying on his knees all alone.

He then began to cry for those he prayed for.

For just a minute he looked like a lady from our church.

But it was Jesus, I could see the compassion poured out of his prayer.

I saw Jesus the other day.

He was at the grocery store talking to a friend.

He then put his arms around them to comfort them.

For just a minute he looked like a young mother in our ladies class.

But it was Jesus, I could see the concern for others who hurt.

I see Jesus everywhere,

Taking food to the sick,

Welcoming others to his home,

Being friendly to a newcomer

And for just a minute I think he's someone I know.

But it's always Jesus, I can tell by the way he serves.

May someone see Jesus in you today.

Remember to encourage those you see living for Jesus!

"You are My witnesses," says the Lord." (Isaiah 43:5) Life is God's gift

to you.. The way you live it...is your gift to God.

Saying sinner’s prayer will save you?

God wants to save everyone. He loves us so much that He gave his Son to die for our sins. Our sins are forgiven when we are baptized into Christ, and God promises us the gift of eternal Life. Nowhere in the New Testament is anyone told to pray to receive salvation and become a Christian. God is gracious and merciful, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Pet 3:9). Repentance was preached by Jesus Christ (Matthew 4:17), by John the Baptist (Matthew 3:1-10), by Christ’s Disciples (Mark 6:12), by Peter (Acts 2:38), by Paul (Acts 17:30), the gospel, calls for “repentance toward God…” (Acts 20:21).

Those who truly repent change their mind about their relationship with God and this results in a change in the way they live. Judas regretted his actions, but he did not turn to God(Matt. 27:3-4)There are lots of preachers who made repentance a simple .

The truth is that the Bible teaches that baptism is when our sins are washed away and we are forgiven unto salvation not through sinner’s prayer. There is no way an unsaved sinner can ask and receive salvation through prayer, because an unsaved sinner is not "in Christ" he is out of Christ the Bible clearly teaches that the only way to get "in Christ" is to be "baptized into Christ. (Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21 )

Someone may have prayed this prayer during an emotional experience and then go on living their life as they were before. This person has a false assurance of salvation.
Saul of Tarsus prayed for three days after arriving in the city of Damascus, yet his sins were not “washed away” until he was immersed in water in obedience to the divine command (Acts 9:11; 22:16). Jesus nor any of the apostles ever taught or wrote that we must pray a sinners prayer to be saved. God only hears those who worship Him and do His will. Example when the multitudes cried out at Pentecost, “What shall we do?” Peter did not respond, “Pray the sinner’s prayer,” but “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:37-38). A Christian is one who belongs to Christ and obeys His commands (1 John 5:3). When a person does exactly what the Bible teaches in order to be saved and lives a faithful life on earth, eternal life in heaven awaits them (Revelation 2:10).

We see in many Bible verses that God rejected sinner’s prayer. Below are the examples.

Jeremiah 21:14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it.

Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Jeremiah 14:12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

Proverbs 1:28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me.

Hosea 12:2 The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.

John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

Proverbs 15:8-9 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight. The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.

Proverbs 15:29 The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

1 Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

Jesus Name Above All Names!

The amazing truth about Jesus is that He is both human and divine, both true man and true God. “You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to the Father. Yes, ask anything in my name, and I will do it!” (John 14:13-14).
