God's name is often taken in vain by the sinful world. Our society is filled with the wicked people who curse and profane in God's name, make jokes in his name every day shamelessly, deliberately and sinfully breaking one of the most important Ten Commandments. Many Godless people promoting movies, TV shows, books which glorify sin instead of glorifying Jesus Christ disrespecting our Lord Jesus Christ by swearing, blaspheming him in his name , mock and attack his name. Acts 4:10-12 tell us that salvation can ONLY be found in the NAME OF JESUS. Jesus Christ was God Almighty manifest in the flesh(Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah 7:14, John 1:1)
The people who make fun of Jesus name do not love Jesus. They have rejected Jesus Christ removed the precious name of Jesus from their bibles, mocked Jesus on media, banned Jesus from the schools and hated anyone who loves Jesus (John 15:19).
Jesus name is so precious because His name is above every other name (Philippians 2:9 – 11), there is salvation in his name (Acts 4:12), there is remission of sins in his name (Acts 10:43), There is healings in His name (Acts 3:6), There is safety in His name (Proverbs 18:10), there is Eternal Life in his name (John 10:28).
When Jesus lived on earth, he was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane, was mocked and beaten whipped, stricken, spat upon by the soldiers as they dressed Him in a purple robe and a crown of thorns through the night and hours proceeding His grueling trek to Calvary where nails were driven through His hands and feet, where the opened, bloody flesh of His back was placed against a wooden cross, where the people mocked Him and told Him to come down if He were the Son of God. After Jesus had hung on the cross for several hours, he forgave the soldiers who had crucified him (Luke 23:34; Luke 23:35) and voluntarily gave up his life (John 10:18), commending his spirit into his Father's hands.
Isaiah tells us that "he bore our grief's and carried our sorrows; that he was wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities; that the chastisement of our peace was laid upon him; that by his stripes we are healed" He redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us (Galatians 3:13).
Jesus died for us To show God's love for sinners, To show his own love for us, To bring us to God, To give eternal life to all who believe on Him, to Take Away Our Condemnation, To Free Us from the Slavery of Sin, To Give Marriage Its Deepest Meaning, To Free Us from Bondage to the Fear of Death and To Rescue Us from Final Judgment.
We are to tolerate all that is good (Amos 5:15) and to detest all that is evil (Romans 12:9) but sadly we approve or tolerate things that God hates instead of exposing or Confronting Evil. God wants us to hate evil and cling to what is good (Rom 12:9).We are not to tolerate wickedness, injustice, evil blasphemers who mock God and inferior heathenic values of the Godless world
Here is what the scriptures give us warning:
If anyone does not love the Lord--a curse be on him. Come, O Lord! 1 Corinthians 16:22
Exodus 20:7 "You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
Leviticus 19:12 "'Do not swear falsely by my name and so profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.
Deuteronomy 5:11You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
Psalm 139:20:For they speak wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
Isaiah 52:5:And now what do I have here?" declares the LORD. "For my people have been taken away for nothing, and those who rule them mock," declares the LORD. "And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed.
Romans 2:24 As it is written: "God's name is blasphemed among the Gentiles.
Ezekiel 36:23 I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, declares the Sovereign LORD, when I show myself holy through you before their eyes.
Conclusion: we know that the enemy of God blasphemes Jesus name .As a true believers and true followers of Christ we need to stand for our Lord Jesus Christ, honor his name because his name is sacred and holy . We have an obligation to see that Gods name and his doctrine is not blasphemed (1 Timothy 6:1) and we need to rebuke the one who misuses his name.

Do your words dishonor God, the Bible, the Holy Spirit and our Lord Jesus Christ?
The Third Commandment warns, "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain." (Exodus 20:7).
We see many Christians including entertainment industry, Movies ,TV shows make fun of Gods name in May ways. Many of them will silently listen to them or laugh at them. There are other types of hypocrite Christians who curse God or take Gods name in vain when they are angry or in joy or in pain. We should open our mouths to praise God and leading others to obey the Lord through faith in Jesus Christ not to use to speak profanity ( Ephesians 4:29).
