Better to be poor and honest than to be dishonest and rich!

1) Worldly rich: The love of money can motivate any evil on this earth. Rich sometimes get rich by oppressing the poor. There are many wicked rich people in this world who have hardened their hearts filled with arrogancy, selfishness, harshness, cold-heartedness throwing rich parties wasting their money on useless things, who are overfed and has no pity nor concerned about the poor but are hoarded with wealth, pride and refused to pay their workers, who do not even defend the rights of the poor nor share their wealth or food with poor and needy. But in scriptures we see that when Jesus and his disciples threw parties they invited the poor, the crippled, the lame and the blind. Luke 14:12-13 says but when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame and the blind.

There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men says Proverb 30:14.

We can remember the parable Jesus told about the beggar Lazarus and the rich man (Luke 16:19-31). Jesus says only that the rich man had great wealth and that he enjoyed his wealth while Lazarus suffered miserably outside his gate. The rich man exploited Lazarus to acquire wealth. He simply neglected to share. So God punished him (Luke 16:19–31).

2)Godly rich: Godly rich is showing our generosity in the good works such as helping the poor , needy disabled, helping the humble widows , orphans, and foreigners sharing the testimony of God with unbelievers. No matter how justly we have acquired our wealth, God demands that we act generously towards the poor.

Proverbs 22:9 says A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor.

Proverb 29:7: The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.

3)God cares for poor: In the world today, we see only few people care about the poor. God curses on anyone who looks down on poor and needy. Proverb 28:27 says He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse. When we give the poor, we are lending it to God. Prov. 19:17 says He who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, and He will repay him for his good deed.

4)Another kind of poor: Some people are poor because they make sinful choices because of lack of Self Control by being disobedient to the will of God by pursuing a life of pleasure and hypocrisy. Proverbs 28:19 reminds us that He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty and some people become poor because of unwise in their financial usage like buying things they don’t need, not saving for emergencies, buying a lot of things by making to many debts. People can bring poverty on themselves by refusing to follow wise counsel. Proverbs 13:18 says Poverty and disgrace come to him who ignores instruction, but whoever heeds reproof is honoured. Some of the choices they make are lying, stealing, willful ignorance of wise instruction, laziness, gluttony, gambling, lottery, drunkenness, negligence, waste, greediness, adultery and bad addictions. Do not be with heavy drinkers of wine, or with gluttonous eaters of meat. For the heavy drinker and the glutton will come to poverty and drowsiness will clothe a man with rags” (Pr. 23:20-21). Drunkenness can lead to sexual immorality, anger, fighting and even murder. For such kind of poor people we should admonish them to walk in righteous godly path by helping them to quit their present life style by rebuking and encouraging them to walk rightly in the eyes of God not human standards.

God will still hold us accountable for our actions. “He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy” (Pr. 28:13). Neither thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards shall inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Cor. 6:10). The apostle Paul commanded Christians ...not to associate with any so-called brother if he should be an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler not even to eat with such a one. (1 Cor. 5:11).

Conclusion: True happiness, peace and satisfaction are there in our lives when we follow and live in God‘s ways.

Flirting is immoral and sinful!

Flirting is playing with one’s emotions and feelings. Many people have disregarded the Word of God, ruined their lives by flirting with someone other than their spouse.

Hence it has contributed to immorality, adultery, promiscuous, fornication, divorce, lusting and family break ups. A flirt will lead you down the path to death and destruction. There will be no true happiness in the end, neither for that woman nor that man .Flirting is very nice and acceptable between a husband and wife relationships.

The Bible tells us that we are to be a good example, showing others the love of Christ through our behavior (Ephesians 5:1-2). Flirting is not good for the child of God.Any one who is a child of God needs to put off his old sinful ways of life and put on a new life in Christ. Paul says:You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24

Proverbs7 reminds us the importance of avoiding a flirtatious woman. She is called an adulteress. She flatters with her words. She is on the hunt. She is cunning. She is loud and rebellious. She takes the initiative in relationships instead of waiting on the man.

2 Tim. 2:22 says .Now flee from youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

The Bible strongly warns us against tempting others to sin (Matthew 18:7). We should do all we can to bring others into God's Kingdom and never to do anything that would cause a person to stumble in his righteous walk (Romans 14:21). Adultery is a horrible sin which brings the judgment of God (1st Corinthians 6:9,10).

Other Supporting scriptures are:

1 Corinthians 10:31 reminds us, “Whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, you must do all for the glory of God.”

Isaiah 3:16-17:Moreover, the LORD said, “Because the daughters of Zion are proud And walk with heads held high and seductive eyes, And go along with mincing steps And tinkle the bangles on their feet, Therefore the Lord will afflict the scalp of the daughters of Zion with scabs, And the LORD will make their foreheads bare.”

I Corinthians 7:1: Now concerning the things about which you wrote, it is good for a man not to touch a woman.

I Peter 5:8: Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

Ephesians 4:27:Do not give the devil an opportunity.

Matthew 5:28-29:But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust in his eye has already committed adultery with her in his heart. So if your eye – even if it is your good eye – causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell”

Matthew 12:35 tells us that “a good person produces good words from a good heart, and an evil person produces evil words from an evil heart.”

Philippians 4:8 says, “Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

Romans 6:12 says therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

Colossians 3:5: Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

Conclusion: We must never allow sin to control us (Romans 6). Even Though one has forgiven of the sin committed but still there would be the consequences of the sin in his life.

Danger of Isolation in the Marriage

When the marriage turns sour, unhappy and painful most people will try to have a extramarital affairs by being unfaithful to the marriage vows which leads to emotional adultery, and then later into physical adultery. Emotional adultery is unfaithfulness to the spouse in thoughts or heart or cheating on their spouses emotionally. When the spouse of unfaithful person knows the truth he will get hurt and his agony of betrayal is immeasurable and the marriage rips apart. His whole world would have collapsed.

To avoid such kind of adultery the spouses need to be affectionate, accountable, understanding and should able to pay attention to their needs. Temptations are opportunities that either it will strengthen us or corrupt us morally which lead us in bad path. When they come along, we are given a choice to either turn away with God's help or surrender to the temptation. We must be spiritually minded to resist temptation, realizing that eternal spiritual values are more important that temporary earthly pleasure or gain. We should never fantasize about sinful thoughts. We can overcome temptation through Prayer, scripture reading, by resisting or avoiding it.

If you put your trust in man or woman outside the marriage you are guaranteed to get hurt at some point, someone is going to let you down and deeply disappoint you. "Paul said believers put "no confidence in the flesh" (Philippians 3:3). Much of the hurting and the hopelessness you experience is a result of being let down by someone you trusted or someone close to you. You are trusting in someone or something other than God to bring you happiness and hope.

A family with a stable marriage supports healthy socialization, healthy relationships,, healthy society and healthy nation and there by contributing a good morals. I hope the spouses understand each other needs and make God as the centre of marriage and work out their issues by not giving rooms for the devil to destroy their marriage.
