Deny Ungodliness and pursue Godliness!

Unrepentant, non believers and rebellious person continues to live in sin reject correction and they do not want their evil deeds to come to light because their works are evil and they live in comfortable sinful lifestyle. They are always looking for ways to mock and attack believers and those who are walking in Godly ways (Micah 3:2).


Ungodly people are spiritual blinded whose lives are not godly and are always opposed to God and his ways. The Bible says that ungodly people hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD and they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. They are people who do not put God and his Word first in their life rather they are more into worldly materialism, fun and enjoyment. They decide what is right and wrong out of their own mind and lusts, and reject and despise God’s demands and prohibitions. When you rebuke ungodly he will mock at you or he will find excuses to defend himself. Few among them may also say I am not into religious or spiritual stuff because we are all sinners and there is no one perfect. They are often filled with pride and arrogance, they boast and justify about their sinful lifestyle proudly.



As John 12:40 says “The Lord has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts--so that their eyes cannot see, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and have me heal them."


The counsel of the ungodly is any philosophy, teaching, idea, advises, thoughts, behaviors, lifestyles and attitude that does not come from the Bible and the Holy Spirit rather it comes from evils spirit which is demonic. The way of sinners is the path of one’s own will instead of God’s will. God's word says that you need to choose people that will lead you CLOSER to God - evil, ungodly people will corrupt you.


Psalm 1:1, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”


There is no sin or habit which cannot be overcome, but sinners continue in sinning and they morally corrupt their surroundings. When we were born into this world, we were born with a sinful nature that opposes the law of God. But when we are born again by the spirit of God, we received a new divine nature that hates sin and we are born of God which we have a new nature that is convicting us of the sin in our life and moving them forward in God’s grace and victory over sin. Isaiah 9:17


Paul encouraged Timothy to be an example to other believers “in word, in manner of life, in love, in faith, in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12).

Jesus warns us never to set a bad example and cause others to sin (Romans 14:13, Matthew 18:6, 1Corinthians 8:9-13). People are watching our lives, and we should present a good example (Rom.14:7, 1 Cor. 15:33)

Whoever is born of God will not live in sin. (1 John 3:9).We need to hate sin by refusing to take part in it .We should condemn and rebuke the sin and the sinner when we see it. Since sin is of the devil. (1 John 3:8). Sin is to be hated, not excused or taken lightly. It is not hateful to tell a person is in sin. All unrighteousness is a sin.( 1 John 5:17). Saints are made free from sins and have become slaves of righteousness (Romans 6:18).We should never encourage ourselves and others in any evil things which causes us to sin and we should not delight in those who commit sins. Sin is the nature of a wicked and a characteristic of a Devil and who has gone spiritually away from God . We should continuously pray to God at all times to deliver us from all evil And guarding our self not to have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. The sins are always to be confessed, repented, mourned truly in order to be a righteous before God.

Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 97:10.

Scripture says to rebuke. In Proverbs 8:13: All who fear the LORD will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech.

Romans 12:9 :Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.



Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Gal. 6:1



My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth and one turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death

and will cover a multitude of sins. Jas. 5:19-20


If your brother sins go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother. Matt. 18:15

Titus 1:13: "This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith.

Conclusion: May we all continue to encourage and inspire others to live a Godly life thereby living as children of light which pleases the Lord." (Ephesians 5:8, 10)

When Godly parenting fails, culture fails, family fails and nation fails!

Godly example: As parents, God holds us fully accountable to faithfully represent His authority and standards for more than just providing food, shelter, and protection. The best way to raise godly children is, by parents being godly and setting and living as a Godly example. There is always a success and rewards in parenting in Godly ways. Because of the grace of God, the Christian is quite capable of exercising self-control in overcoming the passions of the flesh. There is no sin habit which cannot be overcome. The thoughts and emotions are under the Christians control. One can block out certain thoughts and emotions, killing the passions of the flesh.

As parents, we need to teach our children to seek godly character, for themselves, and in those with whom they would associate. Along with loving God and being a godly example by committing ourselves to His commands, we need to “Repeat them again and again to our children. Talk about them when we are at home and when we are away on a journey, when we are lying down and when we are getting up again. Tie them to our hands as a reminder, and wear them on our forehead. Write them on the doorposts of our house and on our gates” (Deuteronomy 6:7-9). As a Parent we need to be the reflectors of God to our children by teaching our children’s the statues , the commandments and the laws of the God so that our children’s we see by our words and actions and by our examples. As Christian parents we need to always stand up for doing right in everything we do. Good parenting begins with our right relationship with God. If we aren't right with Him, we simply cannot be and are not the right kind of parents. As parents we shape our children's attitudes, actions, behaviour and associations. It’s a Parents responsibility whether his family members are clothed with humility, pure, righteous and holy.

Parents need to warn and explain to their children that Satan is the god of this sinful world (2nd Corinthians 4:4). Children need to be taught that the Devil is a liar, but appears deceitfully as an honest person (Matthew 7:15). The Devil is a fallen angel of darkness; but he deceitfully appears to people as an angel of light from Heaven (2nd Corinthians 11:13,14). There are so many Parents in the Bible such as Noah, Abraham, Job, Joseph, Jacob, Jephthah, Eunice, Hannah, Aaron etc.

The ungodly example: The ungodly Parents think according to worldly and they compromise according to the pleasures to the world and they do not avoids anything that would pollute their home and family like smoking, drinking, drugs, sexual immorality, ungodly people, bad television programs which is based on immorality, violence etc., being workaholic and neglecting their primary duties inside the family. Many professing Christians Parents are living spiritually defeated lives because of their addictions such as smoking, drugs and alcohol,pornography,gambling,bad televesions programs, Ungodly relationships, adulterous living etc. They knew it was wrong and because they could not overcome it they were affected spiritually. As a result they tried to justify their sin gradually develop a rebellious spirit. They destroy the testimony for Christ because they were controlled by their addiction and could not seem to overcome it and they can’t be a real soul winner for Christ. Our bodies, mind and heart are to be clean and free of any sinful habit wholly dedicated to our Lord. Holy Spirit controls our actions in our life if we walk by the Spirit of God and the Holy Bible will keep us away from sin. If we do not completely surrender to the Holy sprit, the evil spirit will have chance to corrupt our lifestyles. If Parents have any kind of bad addiction chances are more that their children’s will have same sort of addictions.Childrens watch and learn behavior from their parents. They repeat what their parents say and do. Many parents smoke or drink alcohol in front of their children which results directly or indirectly a bad witness for Christ and bad example for their childrens as well as around other believers. Some parents mistakenly believe that it is not harmful to smoke if they do it with a window open or after their children are asleep. A child's exposure to passive smoke is about three times higher than a peer in a non-smoking family if the father smokes but is raised by more than six times if the mother does and by almost nine-fold if both parents light up. Some Parents even say that there is nothing wrong and they all grew up in such environment and they say that the children need to get immunity for smoking or any filthy addiction.



For them this is what the scriptures say:

Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

Matthew 12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Ephesians 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart

Psalms 12:2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

Acts 28:26-27 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Second hand smoke from cigarettes harms not just the smoker, but family, friends and co-workers. The Bible says we are to love our neighbor. Jesus said that loving one's neighbor was next to loving one's parents "Honor thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" (Matthew 19:19 ). Romans 13:10 teaches us that "Love worketh no ill to his neighbour." It is certainly not an act of love to smoke around other people exposing them to the deadly effects of cigarette smoke.Childrens do not need to get immunity for bad things but for Good things. Our society and families have become desensitized to sin .If we live a bad example before our children and If we do not train our children in godly ways, we lack confidence in our ability to shape our children & give up on our responsibilities to morally cultivate our children. We abandon them to others for spiritual instruction. We pridefully busy ourselves in other activities and jobs. We spoil our children for control. We do not consistently discipline our children. This is the false way of Christian parenting.

No wonder our children are confused about right and wrong when parents degrade the sanctity of marriage by living together out of wedlock. Children are their parents mirror.

There are parents who teach their children to shoplift and put them up to stealing from others. There are parents that purchase alcohol for their underage teens and let them drink at home with their friends because they feel it is safer for them than to be out doing it elsewhere. There are parents who have addiction with alcohol or drugs or tobacco etc actually engage in drinking or using such things with their teens. There are parents who take their children along to adult parties where others are drinking and using drugs. They feel that as long as their children are with them they are good parents. Wrong! There are some parents who teach and encourage their children to lie. A good example of this is parents who try to use their children as a source of income such as those who try to get disability benefits by having their children fake emotional or behavior disorders.

To prosper in parenting duties, a parent, must recognize their sinful behavior right away, then confess it, and most importantly forsake it. We'll easily overcome the traps of bad parenting with the help of God's wisdom when we forget our ways and cling to Gods ways, by obeying God and living Godly lives in every area of our life & to be a good influence around our families, childrens.When our Parenting is on Gods word Our Families will prosper , our society and their by our nation prospers!

The world loves to watch people commit sin on the TV screen. Nearly all TV programs and movies today center around sin...they glorify sin. The Devil loves to help people make excuses in an futile attempt to justify their sins. Satan is at work, and he works through the spirit of his children who know not God. Because if it does NOT glorify God, or mention God or Jesus, or help you direct your mind and attention to your Creator, it is NOT of God to begin with. Most likely it is of satan. Even through television programming for kids, satan is targeting our younger generation and children, especially children of Christian parents. I feel sorry for all the little kids and parents who allow to watch this show every day. Children have no idea on how satan has infiltrated our society. Satan is out to destroy our childrens,youth ,families and he’ll use our eyes and ears against our children. Satan is out to corrupt our children’s minds with ungodly music and ungodly visuals.


Some of the TV shows, movies, books promote the story of magic, divination, sorcery or other forbidden practices, imaginary scenes stir interest in magic or other occult practices .This is what the scripture says "...you have forsaken Me and served other gods. Therefore I will deliver you no more. Go and cry out to the gods which you have chosen; let them deliver you in your time of distress.” Judges 10:12-14

This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods... shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing." Jeremiah 13:10

Grace that teaches us to say no to ungodliness!

There are many Christians who take God's grace and subtly twist it, manipulating it, until finally it produces lasciviousness in God's people by preaching a false Christ, through a perverted concept of grace. (Jude 1-4). Satan persuades some Christians that they can still hold to God's truth while indulging a sin because Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.


“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say ‘No’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good” (Titus 2:11-14).

Jesus called lasciviousness a sin of the heart, "that which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness" (Mark 7:20-22).

The writer of Hebrews urges us, "Let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear" (Hebrews 12:28).

God hates sin, judges sin & chastises the sinner. No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient, Eph 5:5-6. The false gospel of grace is empty words, purposed to deceive you - to convince you to do nothing, remaining in your sins, so your soul is destroyed. The workings of grace to teach us how to live are a process of repentance, the process produces purity, righteousness, and the fruit of the Spirit.

We all know Jesus Christ is so forgiving but after forgiveness he says, Sin no more. Repent or perish.

Jesus told Paul he sent him : "To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, release from sin's slavery, and an inheritance among those who are sanctified and purified by faith in Me."

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Rom 6:15.

By grace, we are shown our sin by the Holy Spirit. We repent by denying ungodliness and lusts, to living soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world. If we are slaves to sin, he can't be our Lord. You cannot serve two masters. Mat 6:24,Luke 16:13

Some Christians might quote these verses”There is no one righteous, not even one; Romans 3:10

There is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. Romans 3:11

All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one." Romans 3:12

We cannot obtain righteousness by following the Law. They were many righteous men and women in the Bible .Adam, Enoch, Abraham, Joseph, Jacob, Isacc, Rahab, Ruth, Debrorah,Noah  Miraim and many others were all found righteous before the Lord.But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. Rom 3:21

This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, Rom 3:22

So grace, is not a license to continue to sin. We are not condemned while we are waiting to be cleansed, but per Paul again, we have to continue to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Philippians 2:12

True faith results in true works.Faith, grace, and good works are like a three legged stool. If any one is missing, the thing will not stand. God's grace in us, if we really have it through faith, will always result in good works. Believer dwells upon this grace of God in which he now stands, it will motivate him to do good works. Titus 2:11, 12.

By God's grace we are saved, forgiven, and our sentence of death is pardoned as we are washed clean of the stain of sin by the blood of Christ, whose sacrificed blood covers us in His righteousness when we put on the breastplate of righteousness, the righteousness of Christ. Those who are in Christ are dead to sin, under no circumstances they continue to live wickedly instead they have been raised to walk in newness and purity of life, lives of righteousness, morality and integrity.
