When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

Mark 16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

Mark 16:14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

Luke 24:4-7 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

Acts 1:22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

1 Corinthians 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

Matthew 22:29-32 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: ...

1 Peter 3:21:There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ

2 Timothy 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

John 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

A Glimpse of Jesus Christ suffering!

Isaiah tells us that “he bore our grief’s and carried our sorrows; that he was wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities; that the chastisement of our peace was laid upon him; that by his stripes we are healed” He redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). He was made a sin-offering, and He died in our place, on our account, that He might bring us near to God.

Jesus was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane , was mocked and beaten whipped, stricken, spat upon by the soldiers as they dressed Him in a purple robe and a crown of thorns through the night and hours proceeding His grueling trek to Calvary where nails were driven through His hands and feet, where the opened, bloody flesh of His back was placed against a wooden cross, where the people mocked Him and told Him to come down if He were the Son of God. After Jesus had hung on the cross for several hours, he forgave the soldiers who had crucified him (Luke 23:34; Luke 23:35) and voluntarily gave up his life (John 10:18), commending his spirit into his Father's hands.

Jesus died for us To show God’s love for sinners, To show his own love for us, To bring us to God, To give eternal life to all who believe on Him, to Take Away Our Condemnation, To Free Us from the Slavery of Sin, To Give Marriage Its Deepest Meaning, To Free Us from Bondage to the Fear of Death and To Rescue Us from Final Judgment.

Make Christ as the centre of Easter Celebration not as a pagan Celebration of Easter Bunnies/Eggs!

Easter is another name of Passover is the celebration to memorialize the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:1). The Bible teaches that Jesus came into the world, that He lived and He died, that three days later He rose again from the dead, and that He is alive forever. The Passover is a wonderful picture of Christ’s atonement for His people and His deliverance of us from the bondage of sin. That is something we should celebrate every day of our lives. We should celebrate Easter with prayers, meditation and going to church, caring for the sick and the poor . Easter ‘s focus is to be mainly on Jesus' execution, His burial and, most importantly, His rising from death not to mislead our children with fables of an Easter Bunnies and eggs. Pagans have worshiped rabbits as sex and fertility gods, and have looked upon them as symbols of lust, sexual vigor and reproduction. Eggs also have been symbols of fertility, sex and new life, also with celebrations in the springtime. The egg was a sacred symbol among the Babylonians. The symbol of the rabbit is actually a Pagan symbol, for the ancient Pagan celebration of Eastre.

The Goddess, Eastre, was worshiped by Anglo-Saxons, and was known by her unique symbol, of the rabbit. The Germans were actually the first country to recognize the rabbit as an Easter symbol, and spread Bunny Cheer throughout the world, including America.

Easter bunnies and rabbits are pagan and should not be taught in any Christian home.

“… teach my people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.” Ezekiel 34:23

There are number of scriptures in the Bible instructing us not to borrow the customs of the heathen or pagans to worship the true God: “Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen... For the customs of the people are vain:”(Jer. 10:2),(Jer. 10:3).

Here is what the scriptures have to say who celebrate Jesus as well as Bunnies:

“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. Matthew 6:24

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Romans 12:1
