Despite of Differences,Come Unity in Jesus Christ!

What the Bible says about Sinful Dance?

The Christian life is lived in the middle of a sinful society; sin is all around us every day. Dancing is seen in Old Testament worship and praise to God.Jesus and the apostles are not recorded as ever dancing or encouraging it.There is no indication in Scripture that the people of God will dance before the Lord in heaven.Anything which excites the lust of the flesh whether by words, bodily movements, or unchaste touching is therefore considered sinful And sinful passions lead to sin.

Some people can defend by saying "I can't control what other people think."But We need to remember that we have a responsibility not to contribute to another's moral corruption; we must not be a stumbling block.Matthew 18:6, 7.

"Dancing is approved in scripture." for them I say lasciviousness and fleshly lust was never approved in scripture.Dancing to bring attention to yourself or your body therefore would be sinful. In Corinthians 7:1-3, says, "It is good for a man not to touch a woman"

Another person might say"Everyone does it."For them I say Then you must not allow yourself to be conformed by the world. You cannot pursue godliness and worldliness at the same time. Jesus said that plainly in Matthew 6:24, "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."The modern dance demonstrates that we love things of the world more than we love God.

"Dancing to me is just a way of getting good exercise."there are many alternative forms of exercise that do not excite the lusts of the flesh in yourself or others.

Nothing is wrong with it if it is closely supervised and done in moderation."Sin supervised is still sin; sin does not become less sinful if regulated. God does not make allowances for us to sin with moderation. A True Christian seeks to live a life of moral purity. This purity of life is motivated by a desire to be like Christ.

In night clubs, social gatherings and in some parties, dancing is a prelude to fornication which leads to more sexual crimes, immorality, promiscuity, adultery, violence, abortion.

People place their hands all over each other, violating God's warnings against lust, lasciviousness, and unholy thoughts. People have become so hardened nowadays that morality is a fun and joke to them. As members of the Lord’s body, His church, we are not to have "spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish" (Ephesians 5:27). We must "keep oneself unspotted from the world" (James 1:27).The Word of God states that "Fools make a mock at sin..." (Proverb 14:9).Women who dance, immodestly expose their bodies, luring lustful men to sinfully gaze upon them. According to Jesus' Words in Matthew 5:28, lust is sinful ... "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.""A wise man fears and departs from evil, but a fool rages and is careless" (Proverbs 14:16).

Christians are not to be the par takers of the sins of the world but we are set apart to serve the Lord.We are not to participate in the sinful deeds of the world but, "Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord" (2 Corinthians 6:17). We must carefully choose those with whom we associate. "I am a companion of all who fear You, and of those who keep Your precepts" (Psalms 119:63). We are to "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them" (Ephesians 5:11). It is not sufficient just to abstain from the evil practices but we must also speak up against them.

More Bible verses on it are Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good."

Romans 12:9

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."Philippians 4:8

"Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."James 4:4

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."John 2:15-16

"Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."Corinthians 7:1

There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. Proverbs 30:12.

For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. 1 John 2:16

It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age. Titus 2:12
